Internal Medicine Residency Program

The Internal Medicine Residency Program of the UC Riverside School of Medicine, which will enroll its first class of 12 residents on July 1, 2013, is distinctive in its strong focus on training primary care physicians in ambulatory healthcare settings. The program features experience with diverse patient populations in a variety of teaching hospital environments. Clinical partners include:

Applications for the internal medicine training program of the UCR School of Medicine are now being accepted for its first class of 12 residents to begin on July 1, 2013. The Internal Medicine Residency Program uses the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), provided by the Association of American Medical Colleges.

The University of California, Riverside and the Internal Medicine Program clinical partners are located in the rapidly growing and ethnically diverse Inland Southern California region. Located in close proximity to recreational opportunities in the mountain, coastal and desert areas of Southern California, the region is home to approximately 4.2 million people.

Accreditation Status

The UCR School of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), effective July 1, 2012.
