Biography

Dr. Kim Tustison, M.D., is an an assistant clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine. She practices at the Riverside University Health System Medical Center.

Tustison is also the chair of the Medical School Admissions Committee.

Tustison earned her M.D. from Drexel University, then completed her internship and residency at the University of Virginia. She is interested in medical education, and won multiple teaching awards as a resident including the Arnold P. Gold Foundation’s Humanism and Excellence in teaching award.

Tustison’s clinical interests include abnormal uterine bleeding, trial of labor after cesarean delivery, minimally invasive hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery, long-term contraception, and cervical cancer screening and prevention.

Research Interests

Tustison has an interest in a wide variety of women' health topics and medical education. She has presented on the "Effect on Diversity in Interviewed Applicants for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency" at the University of Virginia. She is particularly interested in adolescent access to effective birth control.
