The Psychiatry Residency Program at the UCR School of Medicine

The graduate medical education program in psychiatry at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine places an emphasis on providing the best education possible for its residents. The program offers diverse and eclectic training opportunities in the full breadth of psychiatry, including psychotherapy and pharmacology.

Residents are encouraged to grow academically by spending time in scholarly pursuits, including clinical and research opportunities, rather than spending time encumbered by service commitments. In addition, the program features no call or weekends.

Our program features dedicated faculty mentors, opportunities to earn financial assistance through work opportunities, and financial support to present at national and international conferences.

Information for Prospective Applicants

The UCR School of Medicine Psychiatry Residency Program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and accepts applications only through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
