Biography

Dr. Emma Girard, Psy.D., is a health sciences assistant clinical professor of psychiatry with the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine and a psychologist with the Country of Riverside.

Girard attended the University of California, Riverside, earning her B.A. in psychology, then went on to earn a M.A. and Psy.D. in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, California.

She is a certified master trainer in parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT).

Girard has worked as a senior clinical psychologist with the Riverside County Department of Mental Health, working with local agencies and school districts to provide on-site psychological therapy services throughout the county. She is also a successful child, individual, marriage and family psychologist.

She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the California Psychological Association.

Research Interests

Girard's interests include parent-child interaction therapy.
