Internal Medicine Residency Program: Our Mission

The mission of the University of California, Riverside Internal Medicine Residency Program is to train and educate residents to be competent and compassionate practitioners in the core knowledge and skills of internal medicine.

Program Overview

Our Internal Medicine Residency Program features non-traditional, ambulatory-focused training conducted at three unique sites: a county hospital, community hospital, and large, integrated health system. The program features long-block ambulatory rotations, work in continuity care clinics, and procedure rotations.

Program Goal

The overall educational goal of the UCR Internal Medicine Residency Program is to improve the health of the people of California and, especially, to serve Inland Southern California by training a diverse workforce of internists that will improve the health of the medically underserved in the region.
