The Internal Medicine Residency Program at the UCR School of Medicine

The Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of California, Riverside is a three-year residency program with a strong ambulatory experience, which brings 12 residents to Inland Southern California to train at sites across the region.

The program offers a dedicated focus on the medical education experience and has a robust and diverse ambulatory care emphasis in conjunction with strong inpatient experiences. It offers experiences treating a culturally and socioeconomically diverse patient population in three different hospital settings.

We adhere to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education guidelines and features long-block ambulatory rotations, more continuity care clinics and procedure rotations. There is no overnight call during the intern year and limited overnight call during the senior year.

  • Membership to the American College of Physicians.
  • Personal copy of the Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment Program as an intern.
