The UC Riverside Family Medicine Residency Program provides residents with outstanding training and skill development. We pride ourselves in delivering care that is evidence-based, culturally aware, and patient-centered. Residents can expect to build community, develop autonomy, and grow as leaders.

The Family Medicine Residency Program strengthens and improves access to primary care throughout Southern California’s Inland Empire. Residents gain experience at Dignity Health St. Bernardine Medical Center, the program’s Primary Participating site. In addition, they work with patients at UCR Health, the Riverside University Health System, Loma Linda Veterans' Affairs Medical Center, and Cedars-Sinai Health Systems. This broad experience exposes residents to the wide-ranging scope of primary care and health systems, while still meeting the diverse needs of the local community.

The goal of the residency program is to provide outstanding training for family medicine residents. They will develop clinical skills enabling them to provide excellent patient care. They will also grow compassion and gain leadership experience, which will empower them to become health advocates within the community and role models to future physicians.

We seek the most qualified applicants who can mirror our guiding principles.  If you value service, evidence-based medicine, patient-centered care, and social justice; please consider applying.
