The Family Medicine Residency Program in Palm Springs

The UC Riverside School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program in Palm Springs provides residents with outstanding training and skills development that combine excellent patient care with compassion and leadership skills. Residents will become health advocates within the community and strong role models for future physicians.

UCR Health's state-of-the-art family medicine clinic improves access and the strength of primary care in the Coachella Valley, providing compassionate care in a supportive, patient-centered medical home setting.

We are affiliated with Desert Regional Medical Center, a 387-bed, level-2 trauma center and certified primary stroke center, and several Coachella Valley community organizations, including the Desert Healthcare District.

Recruitment Open for PGY-2 Resident Position

The University of California, Riverside School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program in Palm Springs, California is looking to fill a PGY-2 position to start July 1, 2017. The program is located in Palm Springs, California. Our main training hospital is Desert Regional Medical Center, which is a 387-bed level II trauma center, advanced primary stroke center, STEMI receiving center, Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and provides the highest level of services available in the 4,000 sq. mile area.

Information for Prospective Applicants

The program only accepts applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), provided by the Association of American Medical Colleges. No paper application materials will be accepted.

The program offers eight categorical positions per year. Interviews will take place from mid-October through the end of January.
