Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship Program: Our Mission

The mission of the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship Program is to train physicians to be competent and compassionate practitioners in the field of cardiovascular medicine, be able to practice competently in a multidisciplinary setting, learn to evaluate literature critically and exercise evidence based practice.

Program Overview

Heart disease is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the United States and the nature of cardiology continues to evolve as our population ages. The fellowship program will train physicians to be competent and compassionate practitioners in the field of cardiovascular medicine, be able to practice competently in a multidisciplinary setting, learn to evaluate literature critically and exercise evidence based practice.

Our program will strive to deliver the best possible training and endeavors to improve continually to produce the best possible cardiologists suited both to clinical practice and academic medicine, preferably serving the Inland Southern California region.

Our Faculty

Our devoted, energetic faculty working in an outstanding clinical learning environment will provide our fellows with a comprehensive didactic and clinical training in cardiovascular medicine.
